We've Secured Our Campus in Kaimukī

I've been waiting for weeks for the moment when I could share this news: we've secured our campus!
Tradewinds School will be located at 1041 10th Avenue in Kaimukī—a property with deep roots in education. The buildings previously housed Epiphany School and Cole Academy, serving learning communities for decades. Now we're transforming this space into something fundamentally different: a school designed specifically for gifted learners.
The Space
The campus gives us exactly what we need: 6,800 square feet of indoor learning space across two buildings with seven classrooms, plus 7,000 square feet of outdoor space. Room for our students to think deeply, create freely, and grow. And room for the school itself to grow for years to come.
We're creating specialized learning environments that match the intensity and curiosity of our students—a dedicated Humanities Room for deep reading and discussion, a Science Lab/Maker Space for hands-on experimentation. We'll also have plenty of space for enrichment programs, guest lectures, after school offerings, and community events.
Finally, we'll have a dedicated home for the Tradewinds Center for Advanced Education, a hub for families of gifted children and a center of educational innovation in Hawaii.
Why Kaimukī
We chose Kaimukī because we wanted a real neighborhood—not a corporate office park or shared coworking space. We're excited to put down roots in this community and build something that lasts.
Join us Wednesday, January 21 at Treehouse Kahala for our Admissions Info Session, where we'll share more about the campus, our curriculum, and what makes Tradewinds different.
Stay tuned for an invitation to visit our campus this spring once renovations are complete.
This feels real now in a way it hasn't before. We have a place, and we're going to build something incredible for our kids.
