Give to Tradewinds School

Tradewinds opened in August 2026 as Hawai‘i’s first school designed for gifted children. Every gift goes to the scholars here now and the ones who come next.

What gifts pay for

  • A teacher sitting on the floor with two scholars on the albatross rug, laughing along as they play a game with small coloured pieces.

    Teachers

Hiring the best teachers we can find, and paying for the training that keeps them getting better at teaching gifted kids.

  • A class family tree on a rolling whiteboard: a marker trunk with paper leaves, pink paper hibiscus flowers and paper fruit, written on in children's handwriting.

    Financial aid

About half of our families qualify for aid. Gifts let us admit a child on ability, whatever the family can pay.

  • The red schoolhouse seen across the yard, white railings up the front steps and the small red cottage beside it.

    The campus

Classrooms, the science lab, the yard, and next the World Biomes Greenhouse.
