Fall 2027 & Midyear 2026–2027
Tradewinds accepts midyear starts, grades K–5, and is now taking applications for K–6 Fall 2027. Students continue with us through 8th grade. Kindergarteners are eligible at 4 years, 9 months on their first day. The application takes about 15 minutes, and a $100 fee completes it.

Apply and book a consultation — in either order
Submit your application and $100 fee, and book a parent consultation with Head of School Carl Sabatino. and we'll follow up to schedule a time.
Complete a cognitive assessment
Arrange a WISC-V or WPPSI-IV and send us the results — or, if your child was tested recently, simply share those. See the assessment details below.
Student discovery visit
Once your assessment results are in, we'll invite your child to campus for a student discovery visit — a chance for our team to get to know them, and for them to experience a day at Tradewinds.
Founder meeting
A 1:1 video chat with one of our founders — a chance to get to know our community and get any questions about Tradewinds answered.
Financial aid — optional, anytime
Open to every family and available at any point — applying never affects admission. See tuition & financial aid below for how to apply.

Tuition for 2026–2027 is $36,000 per year— an investment in extraordinary teacher-to-scholar ratios, nationally recognized leadership, and a curriculum built for gifted minds. Tuition for 2027–2028 will be announced.
We believe every gifted child who would thrive here should have the chance to, regardless of family finances. Financial aid is available and never affects admission. To apply, create an account with School and Student Services (SSS) using partner code 201329.
Every applicant needs a current cognitive assessment before an admission decision. Families may submit the application before testing is complete. Our primary criterion is a Full-Scale IQ (or GAI) of 130 or above on the WISC-V (ages 6+) or WPPSI-IV (under 6). We review the full assessment profile, not only the overall IQ score.
