Announcing Carl Sabatino

I'm excited to share significant news: Carl Sabatino has joined Tradewinds as our Head of School.

Carl previously spent 15+ years as Head of School at Bridges Academy in Los Angeles. He grew Bridges from a tiny school in a dentist’s office to an institution that is recognized worldwide for its innovative approach to K–12 education.

What drew Carl to Tradewinds? The same thing that drives us: gifted children in Hawaiʻi have been invisible. There’s never been a school designed specifically for them. Carl has the experience—and the track record—to build one.

His appointment represents a serious commitment to building something that hasn't existed in Hawaiʻi until now: an elementary program purpose-built for gifted learners. No speed limits on learning. Multiple paths through school. A place where your child finally has a room full of intellectual peers.
